The sign

All classified hotels will receive a sign for display at the entrance to the hotel. The number of stars will, of course, only apply if the sign displays a current year sticker. All signs remain the property of SHR.
The criteria 2009 valid until 31/12/2010 (old system)
The criteria 2010 valid from 1/1/2010 (the new European system)
The 270 criteria in the new European hotel rating system award points for a variety of amenities at the hotel. These include service, staffing, comfort, room size and furnishings. Restaurants, Internet Access, conference and spa facilities are other examples of criteria that contribute to the hotel's overall score. The Swedish system is voluntary. Classified hotels receive a sign as proof of stars awarded. The sign is only valid with the current year sticker.
